Let me know how your pups out of Jeff's Ace and the Sampson Niece turn out. Should be good Ace is out of Sampson and Steve Galentine's Millie dog. Millie is an outstanding reproducer and a super dry ground dog, and Sampson's reproducing record speaks for itself. I have two littermates to Jeff's Ace dog Hondo and Sammie and just like Ace they are smoking fast on a track.


The Pepper dog should really make his mark up in old Montana, he's a good son of a bee as Jeff would say. LOL!

FYI.. The Salt dog has also been sold and he will be making furry critters climb in Colorado...

Marvin Glenn a great friend of mine and the father of warren Glenn was hunting mostly grade lion hounds along the border until 1959 when Walt Disney asked him to helped make a movie called the wetback hound. in this film a registered treeing walker pup was used as the star. Marvin fell in love with the intelligent easily trained walker pup and wanted to buy him when the movie was completed. although Disney would not sell the pup he id let Marvin see the papers and immediately Marven called Lester Nance , Joe house, and Jon Monroe and ordered pups . these foundation dogs are what hi son Warner's pack is still made of today. Warner likes to have at least fifty percent Nance influence in the dogs to keep the size don and the cold trailing ability in track.

Since this thread has moved toward lineages, let me infuse just a small piece.

I have been seeking some of the best genetics in the southwest to hunt in dry, or bare ground conditions for lots of years now. I have always steered clear of straight walkers, as I found other dogs to be more consistant performers of what I was looking for. After quite a lot of comunication with people that I trust, and asking a lot of questions myself, I bit the bullet and bought a young Nance walker from Steve Galentine. This dog also spent some time with Josh Welch as a pup. I don't plan on ever leaving the genetics that I have amassed, but I now have a very different attitude toward walkers. The dogs that Steve and Josh are breeding and raising are every bit as good as the dogs of other breeds and crosses that I have come to rely on.

that as to why i took a full walker and X him over to a B&T blue female to reduce the walker to half to give them the brains and size of a walker and the ears and partial nose of there moma these little guys are already tearing a bobers face to piece's and they are just 4 weeks old . lord help a coon or a lion when they hit hunting age .it will be on like white on rice .RK
