Garmin customer service

Post by timothy »

I have heard alot of bad things about Garmins customer service, but hadnt had to deal with it until today. I bought my garmin and 3 collars used. I did the updates on all 3 collars and bam collar #2 would not connect any more. So i did some research, did a hard reset and still wouldnt work. Called Garmin he told me to do another hard reset, in anticipation of this I had already had it apart again, so all he had to do was tell me to put it back together. So I did. In the end he had me get the serial number and determined it was just barly inside the 18 months they would allow for warranty repair. Had a nice chat with a human being and only had to wait for about 5 minutes for him to pick up. The best part was he did not have a middle eastern accent that you could barely understand, and he was very pleaseant to deal with. So maybe I got lucky but I just wanted to put somthing good up about garmins customer service.

Back last year when Garmin was dealing with all the Battery Recalls on the road Units the wait times were pretty bad.

Lately I've had good Luck in getting in touch with them easier and normally it's been Pleasant. But we call quite a bit so we know the routine and pretty much know what they are going to ask...

But I would agree, It has gotten allot better than it was before.
