rabies vaccination

how many of you vaccinate for rabies before you show your pups a coon/coon hide? would you worry about it?

I think it depends on the risk in your area. Where I live we have had a bad problem over the last two years. I sill show them a hide befor they have it, but I freeze the hide first.

everything I've read says that it can only be spread through saliva...does freezing the hide kill the virus or does it just make it dormant?

It can only survive outside of their body for half an hour. I just like to freeze mine for good measure. Probably dos'nt do any good, but its the way an ol' timer taught me.
