Whats everyone using for a sidearm for hogs? and what ammo.

im using a .45 using 200 gr hornady loads seems to do the job everytime havent had any problems at all.

rem 41.mag Barnes copper rounds (per dfg requirement)

Ruger Super Blackhawk (single action). It's .44 mag.

I also use copper bullets, per DFG.

What about 357? Do they have the stopping power?

Yes, if YOU do Your job, and have good shot placement.

Ive seen many hogs killed by 357 just fine

Yes they work just fine thats all I pack. As for ammo i use what ever I got laying around nothing to wild or crazy, I just make sure its a hollow point. Heck I would bet that a 22 mag or 22 LR has killed more hogs then any other gun out there.
