tuff skins, and rubber duck?

Post by Marcel B&t »

hey guys, was just wondering if the tuff skin antennas and the rubber duck antenna make a significant change in rang for the 220 and dc30. i mostly walk hunt since i have a old pos car and no truck at this time. i would really like some info good or bad before i buy them, i will be buying them from buddyw.
i was getting good range this winter, but with all the leaves on now im droping signal around 1200 yards. im hunting in some very thick stuff, with super tall oaks. the one spot i hunt used to be an oak farm over 100 years ago, so theres lots of big trees with alot of coverage from the canopy. i allso hunt some rather larg swamps.
sorry to ramble on, just want to explain my situation the best so i can get the best recommendation. thanks allot from yale michigan!!

I run the tuff skins, have a fold out extendable on the 220.It has added at least a third more range in my opinion. On average here in the mts I average around a mile and have gotten as high as 4 miles

I have tuff skins on all my collars (dc 30's) and a longer rubber duck for my reciever. In my opinion it has been money very well spent.

i just ordered the long range rubberduck antenna from buddy yesterday, ill do a review of it compared to the stock antenna in two weeks after i try it in alot of different places and situations. ill be running in big swamps, tall timber, hilly country with tall timber, and some very large farm land. hopefully i can get over a mile out of it, should be better than the stock one i hope. lost signal on the dogs the other night at 650 yards in a big swap. found them at over a mile away treed in a persons front yard. thank god they didn't shoot the dogs.lots of crazy city folks living out here these days, never know what there going to do...
