Best vest I could find, need to make choice ASAP!

Post by ChargingCatcher »

Hiya,
Well quite frankly I know better than anyone else the three layer nylon vest my dogs got right now is only cut out for the little 40-100 pound pigs we catch around the farm.
It still looks like Swiss cheese.
I am going in a hog hunting competition where the hogs are a lot BIGGER and more aggressive and of course I want the best to protect my dog.
I came down to these companies.
Hardcore Hog Dogs
Swamp Dawg
Cazadores Cut Gear
Razorback Hunting Supply
Ugly Dog
And Hogwire.

Thats the best thing I could find on the market, not sure which company to buy from. Anybody have any input? I did alot of research and asking questions and these are the best of it. Just don't know where to go from here.
P.S. The competition is in 2 weeks so I have to make a choice quick!

Yeah lol this is how the conversation went:
U: ugly dog
M: me

U: Hello
M: Hi, do you know what denir Kevlar is in your vest?
U: No, the sewer would know that.
M: Can I talk to the sewer?
U:No
M: Really?
U: *cuts off line*

lol
Judging by everyone I am thinking razorback is the way to go

Custom Collars and Swamp Dawg have made some of the best that I have seen. Mine that I got from them are 3-plys of Kevlar with 1-ply of 1000 denier Codura on outside. The codura gets cut thru some times but have not ever had the layers of Kevlar cut all the way thru.

I may be a little late in this conversation, but the best vests out there are made by Larry Parrish in Kennefic, OK. 580-367-2860 Super easy to deal with and will stand behind his product. He has them already made or will make them to suit your needs. Talk to almost anyone in OK or TX and they are using his stuff, or wishing they would. I do have some Uglydog collars and they have held up great, but I have never ran one of their vests. Most people I know put uglydogs vests second in line behind Larry's.
