tips on riggin

i was wondering how can ya get a pup to rig with out having a older dog rigging with the pup?

If the pup is showing quite a bit of interest and aggresion on a caged critter, you might want to hang the cage where you can drive under it and let the pup get a whiff of the scent from the rig box. You may have to put it almost in the pups face to help him get the idea, but he should start firing on the scent after a little while. This is something I have used and it seems to work. I have had some dogs that would'nt rig if the critter was in their face. Can't do much about that.

I like papa's idea, myself i rig for bear, and when i see one cross the road i stop where it did and if they dont open up i jump out of the truck and start going in the direction and yell "come on, wheres he, lets go" they open up and i encourage them with sayn good job petting them, then drop em. works good only problem is u dont always see a bear cross the road when rigging.

thats what i thought about puttn a hide or caged critter on a embankment and drive by it slow and the better they get u start hiding the hide behind the embankment to c if they strike, i no its alot easier with a nother dog but mine died alittle while ago and now i have a pup im workn on

All my rig dogs just do it naturally Eather they do or they dont
