my cameron

Post by robbyson99 »

well i got my self a trainer today for my cameron male. best hes ever done this morning. first i put the trainer in the tree and he treed it hard for probably 10 minutes. then i took the cage down and i let the trainer go in front of him. got a little screwed up there because the trainer headed straight for my house instead of the direction i put the trap in. so i let my pup go and he caught it on the ground pretty quick. might of been wrong on my part because i wanted to let it get out of sight so he could actually run it for awhile but i didnt need that thing around the house. anyways he fought it until i could get there to pull him off. when i did the trainer treed right there in front of us. i let the pup go and he treed that thing like hed been doing it for years. i got a few awesome pictures of him but my computer will not let me download any pictures so when im able to do so i will. next trainer i will have to let it get out of sight and let him track it but as far as tree training he did great for today. im very happy with my bluetick. just thought id share the morning with you all.

How old is your cameron dog? Sounds like he is doing well.

he is now 17 months old. i guess some would say hes not really a pup any more but he seems to be starting at an older age thats all. hes really turning on now. he has gone with the older dog the last few times i took him out. he wouldnt even do that when he was younger. he was going off and doing his own thing. i think he is now learning he should be hunting. i will work on the pictures as soon as i can. i was real proud of him for doing what he did.

When he's 67 months old what age he started at won't much matter. Good luck with him and stick with him. Paul Conway.
