there is a B&T female at the hamilton, mt pound that seems like a really nice dog.
she was found by someone in the hills who brought her in without a collar. they are thinking she was dumped but who really knows maybe someone lost her.
Anyways if someone doesnt claim her im wondering if its worth giving her a shot at hunting. shes two years old and minds very well and has her nose to the ground.
anyone ever give a dog from the pound a shot at hunting? or is it just asking for trouble.

Re: B&T female at pound
i would try her out. i know a few pound hounds that money couldn't buy. just start her like you would a pup after you both get to know each other and bond. let us know what you decide.
Connie butter B&T's and a little yadkin river walker.

Give her a try. My best male is a black and tan that came from the pound, he was over a year old when I got him. With enough time and game put in front of her she could be your next superstar. Good luck with her.
