Cooper STT's are a good tire i really like mine, not sure what the tread life is going to be. I got mine 31x10.50 on my ext cab yoter mounted, balanced. and on the road for 740 $.. DC

The key to any tire for the winter driving is the sipping in the tread kelly builds a new tire called the TSR that has been doing real well and is vey durable and cleans out in the mud real well also. The thing I like about it is that it rides good and is not noisy. I have ran the cooper, bfg, toyo and goodyear and they all have a down side it is just what fits your purpose and driving conditions best. As for me i love this Kelly and the Toyo m/t was nice but sure wore out quickly.

Kelly safaris are good tires. I've been running them for a while and had good luck. I use them for snow mainly. A little cheaper than BFG. and a hell of alot of better tires
