Sex Test

I watched desert killer in the post below, and got to wondering what sex is that lion?
This is mostly for the newer posers like myself, I couldn't tell for sure but I think female by the domed head, I admit that I cheated and hit pause a couple times but still cant tell for sure,
I was trying to imagine someone saying shoot! shoot! if I was trying to take a tom only.
would I have killed a female in all the excitement?
Not trying to start anything here just asking you guys in the know what I am missing if it is a tom?

The only way to be realy sure is look under the tail. Males have a black spot 4-6 inchs from the Butt-hole. Females have a black spot 1-2 inchs from the Butt-hole.

If you have seen alot of lions then you should be able to tell from head size and body size, but if you don't want to kill a female take your time and look for those spots.

Tom Jr. is correct, head shape is not an accurate indicator. Please note when Marv and Warner hoist the lion up on old Paint's back you will get a look and you can see the the location of the spot Tom talked about.

Yep I watched again and saw the spot you refer to. I think you may have missed the point, I was aware of the pubic spot ( not from experience) I was pointing out how easily a newbie could blast a female thinking it was a tom from the footage,
Course in a real life situation a guy could take his time and look from different angles from what was shown. Personally I couldn't tell which way to think, But I know I wouldn't care to try the six pack test on that kitty, LOL!
I was wrong on the sex but hey that's how a guy learns, I was likely tainted by the UT Proc. as the test stresses the flat broad melon with pics.
