hey does anyone have a tracking collar recommended? i have the garmin astro 320 with dc 40 and love it. but i wanna get one for telemetry for back up. case we lose my dog over night cuz battery life for the dc 40 isn't the greatest. i want one with 16,000 hours of battery life. i was thinkin bout getting a johnson or wildlife materials. i don't knnow which of the 2 i'm gonna get just want your guys imput and if there's other brands i should consider. cost is not an issue, i don't want good enough i want the best i can get in your guys opinion.

Marshal's are an excellent collar. User changable double AA batteries.

we use the wildlife system it works good and you get good service from them

I use both Johnsons and Magnum collars. Magnum telemetry out of north carolina sells a good collar for the price. They say its the strongest collar made, but i can only say it out performs the Johnson collars, dont know about anyothers brands because I've only used the two.

I use marshells work good, reciver unit folds up and is very easy carry on belt in holster

i always used RATS collars. they were 16,000 hour and run $125 a piece and $135 with a tree switch. used a wildlife technologies box. was pleased with both

I use west coast and if you are going to use gps and want telemetry to go along with It check out a collar called the tag-a-long it is made to go on your gps collar.

I use wildlife with changeable batteries, I get about 2000 hours but you don't have to send them in and you can keep extra batteries in your bag.

ATS collars have good battery life signal and weigh about half of all the others...which is nice when running Garmin,e-collar and telemetry collars
