dc40 battery life

Post by oldschool »

Does any body know how long a dc 40 lasts while turned off. I charged one a week ago and didn't use it and went to turn it on tonight and it was dead is that normal or does it have some issues. thanks

Issues...Just a guess, either it wasn't shut off or it has a software glitch. Try reloading the software and make sure the light stays off when you shut it down. Definately not normal.

Thanks scott today day i played with it some more after charging it and it took the charge and worked fine except for it is saying low battery on the collar but in worked all day. I think it is working but i should try reloading the software to see if that fixes the low battery light problems it the first time i have use it since last winter. Does any body know how to reload the software i have never did that before. thanks mike

You need an update period. That issue was fixed in an update this past summer. Continued use without the update is known to damage the collar.

Not that I'm aware of. I charge mine whenever I use them no matter if they are all the way drained or I just used them for an hour. Sometimes you may need to unhook the charger and reattach it a few times to make sure they get a full charge.

Good luck,
