Anybody Know How To Tear Into A Tracker Strike Collar?

I have a 5 year old Tracker Strike collar w/tree switch that has had very little use and it appears the magnetic switch is stuck. If I hit it fairly hard on the table it will work, but if it moves around or I put the magnet back in it it quits working. Tracker wants the price of a new Johnson D collar to fix it so I figured I might as well try to get into it.

I have a tracker strike collar that would turn on then when I would put the magnet in and shut it off, it wouldn't turn back on. I pulled the cover off for the battery and placed a small piece of tin foil against the battery and cover. It works fine now been that way for a couple of years. Not sure if this is what you are experiencing or not.

I will give that a try, thanks. I haven't been too impressed with the tracker collars. I have two, got them both pretty much new and the one went tits up early on. It sure is a good feeling when you try to beep a dog and it has vanished.

I put a piece of foil in it and it worked. I pulled the foil out and stretched the spring contact deal out a bit and it seems to work just fine now. If you try that make sure you keep something down low on the spring so it doesn't pull off the cover.
