I have never used the sportdog, nor do I know anyone who has, so I would be interested on what those that have tried both think. I have the garmin and will never run without out.

I run a Garmin 220 with DC 30 collars. I really like that set-up.

A friend of mine purchased a Garmin 220 with a DC 40 collar and the range on the DC 40 didn't even compair to the DC 30 collar. And I have heard people say that over and over again.

I have a friend who bought the sport dog but sent it back. When you think about the GPS type systems, Garmin has been around and has enough users using there equipment that they have worked out a lot of bugs. (But they still have a few) The Sport Dog system has a great idea, cutting out the need for an additional E-collar, but my personal opinion is if you can’t see your dogs doing wrong, then you shouldn’t be lighting them up.
I have owned the DC 20, DC 30, and DC 40’s I currently use the 320/DC40 setup and love it, Garmin has came along ways since there first models.

Good luck making your decision,

I would agree on the garmins. Haven't used or heard alot about the other system. But garmins been around a long time and tested. I would go with whats been around and working, instead of something new and not much feedback on it yet.

Go with garmin. Performance greatly depends upon keeping up with the updates offered by garmin.
