after waiting for good conditions forever finally got some snow on saturday. Got two lions two days in a row. The first lion I had chased twice before on dry ground and someone else with more dogs had chased him 4 times. In begining of december the other hunter had tree him twice and shot him with a bow. One had hit his elbow and stoped the other looked perfect with low entry behind arm and high exit. was amazing had fast it had healed up and how tough this lion was. He was a smart old fart and was pretty good at shaking a dog off. super proud of the dogs for ironing out the track and staying with him. I saw him in 4 trees and think he was in atleast 6 others. This lion had killed countless goats, a couple dogs and took a chunk out of the land owners prize colt, was super happy to get him
We came back the next day because the land owners wanted to remove a female he had also been seeing, ended up with another big old tom instead, cut his track just across the valley from the last one.
