Just curious if anyone has bought bobcat dogs from the west coast (Oregon/Washington) and used them in AZ, NM or UT? How long did it take the dog to acclimate to your trailing conditions.
thx

Re: Dog Acclimation
Sheba,
My dogs were raised in AZ and are now in Montana I also have a dog from Oregon that I brought over here this year. As far as my originals go it took half of last season for them to adjust to snow hunting. They still don't do it nearly as well as they did in AZ. The dog from Oregon seems like she has adjusted after only a few hunts. I really can't say alot about her as I didn't see her in other conditions. The important thing is for you to acclimate to the dogs. Mine hunt completely different now then they did down there so there was a learning curve for me too.
