The english is a lightfoot, decent bear dog, a little on the slow side and doesn't like the longclaw bears, but good on the blacks.

Congrats on the catch and kills! I just got a lightfoot dog from my buddy in Oregon. She's a pretty good looking dog, wound up as hell. Havent turned her on a bear but the next time out, maybe tomorrow, she's going. How are they for speed? Looks like the one you got is the only one who made the race on that one bear?

Slowest dog I have owned, not that I have owned a bunch. That one picture only had her in the frame, the others where back of the tree at that time.

All my dogs are expected to make everytree baring injury or death. She is a nice dog though and really is a good tree dog.

Oh gotcha, I was just curious on her speed since I have one, wanted to know what I could expect out of em. Im sure I got a couple that are slower than her though, haha. Good looking bears, keep it up!

Did you get her from Mike Martell? If you did I think that I have a litter mate sister to her. Mine is not slow but she is not very agressive. She'll stay with a mean bear on the ground but I think that it is because I have other dog's that stick real well. From what I've seen of the lightfoot dog's they have what I call a pack dog mentality. Not that they won't run a track by themselves but instead of working out a track they'll just go to the other dog's. She's got a nice mouth and she is a good tree dog. I would consider them meduim nosed.

Yes i got her from Martell. Sound like you foresure have a littermate, ruby has the same mentality as yours. Slow is relative to the other dogs you hunt. I like speed, as they say speed kills. I would like to see her bay alittle closer but that may come with experiance I think she has only been on 30 or so bear.

I like fast dog's to. This ones not slow she's colored alot like yours but it doesn't look like she is built like yours. That might make the difference. I've had alot of hounds she's not slow.
