Kill pole. Long pvc pipe, cap on end to hold syringe. Put acitone in it. Inject into heart. Or throw the trap in the water. Or leave it there for 3 months

when I was trapping I caught a lot of skunks never had one to spray, stand back about 20 feet get down level and shoot through the lungs,he will just stand there and in a minute blood will come out his nose and he will just fall over, ever one I have seen shot in the head sprayed.

I shot him run my traps and come back last and get him set the trap back, skunks buries things so all animals will look where a skunk has been.

Use a small caliber gun and shoot them in the lungs and let them bleed to death. Takes some time for them to die but rarely sprays.

Sounds good thanks, A buddy told me to shoot them in the head. Well I've had two now shot them both in the head and they both sprayed. I will try lunging them next time.

You guys make things too difficult. I've caught over a thousand skunks and had maybe 20 of them spray. I use the Plastic Catch skunk trap. It is enclosed so the skunk can't even see you when you walk up. Two easy ways to put them down. Pour a cup of Chloriform into the trap with them and they are dead in a minute or so. If you can't get Chloriform, then use CO2, works the same, I use both.

X2 on the kill pole works 100% of the time. They are very easy to make cost about $10 and your set. I have used mine on over 100 skunks with no trouble at all.

i use the plastic skunk traps at work as well, they work awesome, you can really launch them out of there if your just relocating them, if not just take them to a place you dont care if they spray, dump it and whack it with a .22

Walk up to em real slow shoot em right in between the shoulder blades in the spine works every time with no spray. I've heard of a few different ways to get them out alive without em spraying but never tried a single one hahahaha.

I let them go usually on a weekly basis, Ontario is different than the states, complete opposite, here we are supposed to live release, if your calm and quiet they wont let go, covered in traps work the best but i get lots of calls from people who trapped their own in a live cage and are too affraid to deal with it, i walk up quietly with a bed sheet and drape it over nice and quiet, once the blanket is wrapped around they stay pretty calm, they take a little while usually to walk out but the calmer you are the calmer they are...
