New guy from east TN!

Well not much to say. I am an Army vet, and I hunt fish and trap. I been trying to kill my first bear for 7 years. This year I am gonna try to hunt behind hounds. I am completely green to training hounds. So I may be asking alot of questions. I have trained german shorthairs for grouse, but this seems like a totally different ball field. I plan on starting with one or 2 pups. I have some English redticks in mind. The parents are bear hunters. I am also looking at some black n tans, though its parents ran coon.

trapper, thank you very much for your service to our country! if you are looking for an english hound you might look up a man named kenny bullis. years ago he owned the pale face joe dog pretty tuff dog , but more important he is a top notch guy. good luck and thanks again!
