Dan Noyes is not the problem.

You couldn't be more wrong. Dan Noyes is a major part of the problem. He manipulated his story to show the worst possible side of hound hunting, if it was fair and unbiased he would have shown a real hound hunt and not the worst case scenario. Is there any proof at all that the video used was even filmed here in california ? Im not saying there are no bad apples here in CA , my point is dan chose the worst video he could find and aired it.

what will the hsus do to help pass this along? what can we do to help stop/prevent them from any more public lies.they will never stop, most people dont know how bad they really are in this country, no organization should be able to grow as big as them and be able to throw thier weight around like this. will there be t.v. adds, posters,exc from them or the houndsmen of cali. or will none of that make a difference, is the next step going to be like the meeting yesterday, we call and write and see what happens.

Ok so what happens now. What happens with this bill and what are we suposed to do from here?
Did anywhere in the report have a mention about wardens being able to shoot hounds at there discretion if found harassing a bear or bobcat. How can people really support that? If this passes into law it just means ill be spending more time in the woods. It is harder for me to find a fox track than it is to find a bear track. Ill never stop hound hunting.

Mr. Noyes, I realize you have a job to do. That video showed, I believe was taken from a clip on the HSUS website about the evil bear hunters. That only showed the worst of the worst, and does not reflect the practices of an ethical bear hunt. I don't know anyone that would let something like that continue, and being a bear hunter myself, made me cringe to see. I'm sure if you didn't look very hard or asked some people on this board, you would be handed clips of video to fill up your videotape and then some, that never looks anything like that.
Unfortunatley, youtube and the internet is available to everyone to download crap like that
Being the unbiased reporter that you are, maybe you should look deeper into the bill and mention the organization that claims to save animals, backing a bill that allows our dogs to be "dipatched" or in better words that the public can understand SHOT. Or the fact that we in California are not allowed to use GPS to help ensure our dogs safe return from the woods when bears don't end up in trees.

Good points to keep in mind for future stories. Thank you. The only shot from the HSUS was the cub and the pack. All other pictures were random hunting videos or provided by CHC.

The stories were very balanced. In fact, in the first one, hunters had 6 quotes, the opponents had four. We will continue to report the issues -- it's your choice whether you participate and get your viewpoint across. Give me one example of us "editing and twisting" the words of hunters in the report. We were accurate and fair.

The worst video you could find, the one that caused the shock, was the one you took from the largest anti hunting organization in the world!
Maybe in your next piece, you could touch the subject of Senator Lieu, the Senator that wrote this bill, not even knowing the laws in his state, to know that bear hunting was legal in his state! Then when finding out, learned everything he needed to know by the worlds largest anti hunting organization..in just a couple of weeks. I feel there is something wrong there.
You could also do your own investigation on Humane Society itself..
I do appriciate your commenting back and fourth with us on this subject, and hope that you continue to learn more about the actual houndsman from the houndsman, and not their biggest enemy.

The sad fact is that votes are bought by special interest groups. The American Humane Socialists of the U.S. has tons of money to influence votes. Your average hunter does not. This bill passed the committee down party lines. The democrats don't care about the hunting lobby because the money will never match the anti lobby and hunters don't vote for liberal dems anyhow. I believe California has 15 Republican senators and 25 Democrat senators. Top it off with a liberal democrat for governor who will almost certainly sign the bill into law if it hits his desk and the outlook is dismal. I've been too pissed to post since yesterday afternoon! I am trying not to feel defeated until we actually are. Read some of the angles the press comes from and you will see how bad the liberal media is hurting us, add the crap on you tube and places like that posted by hunters and its a publicity nightmare. I won't say much on how I feel about the bad posts, pictures and videos because I think most here already get that. Please, CHC, keep us posted. Is there any hope? Give me something to hang on to.

So your saying for the record that you never edit your pieces in any way nor have you ever edited audio and inserted it onto your master to alter their words, or actions ?come on i know what goes on in those edit bay's! i'm have been a Editor since 1995 and no i wasn't there so i'll never know, but your piece looked ligit from a editing point of view. I can shoot an interview with you or anyone else and with the right camera angle and proper editing i could show your face then insert my voice or anyones else onto it and you would never know, unless you were able to jog and watch the video frame by frame, the Clipster and Amberfin editing systems can do anything and if you never have edited any of your pieces then you should get a medal because your the first.
P.S. the Senator lied on camera about use of G.P.S and i didnt see a correction stated during or after.
