Roading?

hey i got my male walker fixed cuz he was gettin in a little fight er 2 with a friend a mines male to get him to kinda settle down ya know. and before he was fixed when i roaded him i'd go bout 4 miles and would go 20 to 25 mph on a cool day. and he'd be sprintin the whole way and he'd be behind me bout 30 er so yards.. but now when i road him he'll do a brisk jog even if my truck is out o sight he won't try to catch up. and i'm like goin 10 and i'm well ahead o him. do ya guys ever have a similar problem when ya get yer dogs fixed? its not necesarilly a problem i just liked to keep a fast pace. ya think he'll snap out o it? and he's all healed up from the surgery so its not from that.
