I have shot a time or two in my life.
The chances of that happening at that distance are about 10 billion to one.
Lucky is a good choice of words.

can't believe that a 50 cal bullet didn't have more force than that ....ever seen a real one it is huge...beside they pack so much energy that by the laws of war you can't shoot one at a human only equipment.

? By laws of war? My man they chomp down the enemy with .50 ALL the time, I guess you haven't seen the .50 sniper video in Afganistan, unbelievable range and the impact....well let's just say they don't suffer!! There is nothing in the Laws of Armed Conflict which dictates what size of caliber you can use to kill the enemy. You can't use things that would inflict pain and suffering, like say glass bullets, things like that. I had to sit through those classes once a year for 20 years. :)

I do believe I would have marched right out and bought me a lottery ticket right after that happened. Luck was obviously on his side that day.
