Hunting in style!

Post by ferjr »

Took the new rig out this morning, probably should have stayed with the old Dodge Deisel, we seem to have really good luck in it. We struck a bear early, turned out some of the younger hounds, we didnt catch it. Not really sure what happened, it sounded like a hot strike, they took it good but lost it after about 5 miles. I think they might have ran it backwards, but I dont really know. I guess we should have let the older dogs run it first. Lesson learned!

Thanks. There was six dogs in the back, the trailer is pretty heavy for a half ton, we usualy pull it with a 3/4 ton Dodge deisel, it does squat this one pretty good. After this picture was taken we turned the receiver hitch upside down so it leveled the trailer out better, it rides and sits leveler now.

Yes, thats my boys! They have really turned out to be some FINE hounds! I wouldnt take anything for either one, they strike really good, cold nosed, can start and run a bear by there selves, and are some of the hardest treeing dogs I have seen.
