Was just wondering who is using this line of dogs and how they are working out for you guys, and who you got them from. Any info on them would be great.

I was just wondering as I have one I got from Lloyd Neilson by the name Cumo. That I like but have not got to hunt a lot due to the heat and the fires. That looks by the papers he got right from Dean Lyman. He sire is centerfire sampson and his dam is pecos gila tess, I think that is a washburn line. I like the dog was just wondering if there was any stock like him around here. I live in cottonwood, if you are ever up this way send me a pm or give me a call would like to see how some of the other dogs from this line do. Matt 928 301 3694.

There are tons of dogs out there sired by Sampson, and he is a good dog and a good reproducer but it still has a lot to do with what he is bred to. the Washburn cross has proven to be an excellent one and the Millie cross was also very good. If the dog worked well where Sampson is from on the dry ground they will work just about anywhere because when it is bare thee about all you have is bare clay and blow sand, and a 12 hour old track in there is an old one. I have seen these same dogs taken to lower desert with more rock and brush and they can trail on a track twice as old. Not sure why but they can, and I guess that is another reason the true home of dry ground hunting is the deep southwest.

stay after em!

I'm in southern Utah and have a litter due this weekend. Sampson is the sire. Female is a fireball that was on 5 bears this past weekend. If you're interested in a pup let me know. I have family in Phoenix so delivery isn't a problem.
