freeze branding

Post by bad moon »

does anybody know if it matters what type of metal the brand is made of? i see most of the ones you buy are brass. is there reason for this or would mild steel work just as well?

For some reason it just doesn't hold that cold long enough. The thicker brass works well and doesn't take near as long between dogs.

copper is actually the best thing you can use. but brass works fine and is cheaper. steel won't get cold enough long enough to do a good job.
