Bobcat Trappin!

Post by jasongNV »

Just wondering how many of you guys run a line or more for bobbers? Kinda how I got into hounding, caught and saw so much lion decided I was gonna do both. Love catching bobcats and handling fur. Seasons coming fast here in NV so I'm prepping my traps and getting ready. Plus the hounds can help me with any lost cats or pull outs, put more fur on the boards.

I'll run a few traps for bobs this winter. I'll take some time off to do it and the dogs will be along.

That's exactly why I got into running hounds also.I usually trap quite a bit in northern NV.I've never held a lion in a trap but was always excited when I would cut a lion track,or see what they do to your set when they do step in the trap.this year I'm not trapping as much, plan on traveling a bit lion hunting.

I've released one lion from a leghold. It takes a little figuring as they let you know right away that the free foot will reach just as far as the trapped foot. :^)
