any info on the borthwest near the oregon border on lion hunting. i see they have a closed unit up there i think its unit 33 can u hunt there just not kill or what. wanting to head down there this coming months once we get some snow. any i for i would appriciate

I believe your talking the sheldon wildlife refuge, to my knowledge there is no lion hunting at all there.

yes i believe you are its closed to all lion hunting need to go more east towards denio before you can hunt

Some of the boundary is hwy some is gravel road and some is just fenced.Us fish and wildlife in Lakeview would have some boundary maps.
If they're going to run trash, they better run to cath it!!!

You can not lion hunt in the Sheldon at all. There is a little ground along the cali/ Oregon border that is outside of the Sheldon but it is mostly private. And you will not get permission from the ranchers there. They do not like hounds. You are way better off to go twards denio, or south twards gerlch.
