PLEASE READ!! New law that is unfair to all hounds men

PLEASE READ!! TO ALL HUNTERS!!
My name is Matt Lytle and I am a dedicated hunter. I hunt big and small game all over California. My favorite game to hunt is bear with hounds. Ever since i was little my dad would take me out in the hills to hunt. I cant thank him enough for getting me into this awesome sport. I feel that me hunting has made me a better person all around, it has kept me doing good in school because I was not allowed to go hunting unless my grades were good, it has taught me that hard work pays off, and to respect nature. I feel Due to the new California hunting law ;no hunting bears with hounds, that a lot of the younger kids growing up wont have this privilege. This law just passed today and me and my family have been very upset and sad. We house and feed six hounds, all well trained and very loved. And now we have to give them away because of this law and it is a lot of money to buy dog food for all six dogs. If anyone that reads this and is against this law please call this number (916) 445-2841 and tell the office how we should over rule this law and allow hunting with hounds. This is my story, I'm sure there are many more just like mine and would be very appreciative if you all would help us out and fight for what us hunters want. I know it might be a little to late but I can never hurt to try.

I am very saddened to here what you just wrote young man. I want you to know that I promise you I will make a call, from up here in Idaho. I grew up the same way, and am teaching my own children the same message of the great outdoors and the rewards of a good student. I am sorry for the state of California's loss. I'm hoping the virus doesn't spread to any other states. It truly is in our heritage here in South East Tennessee. It's the way our ancestors went about it. I hate hearing about this and hope it doesn't continue. You can bet, I too, will make this phone call.

Yes it is very sad that we lost, we all did what we could but the liberals had there minds made up no matter what we did and no matter how many letters or calls we made. Matt is a good friend and hunting partner. Matt had a little accident which will hinder him this year, but he still has the determination to go hunting with the hounds even though he won't be walking to very many trees if any, that's dedication.

I feel exactly like you when it comes to this stupid bill and while I am basicly a bobcat hunter we are all in the same boat come January. I to have been hunting in southern califronia since I was a young boy and over the years I have seen most of the land that I use to hunt on become houses and malls and cities where there was nothiing. I have seen hunting change from a very acceptable sport/ pass time to being viewed as bambi killer to those guys with the dogs that kill every thing in the woods by people who think being out in the woods is a weekend camping trip to the Santa Anna Canyon park.

So why should I expect nothing less than a bill drafted by a no nothing senator, whose name is not worthy of being written here, from the middle of LA drafting a law while listening to only the HSUS be a big suprise. Now to go along with this type of government Southern California has grown so large that you have millions of people who know nothing of the outdoors and 99.9 percent of the time could care less about the out doors listening to the diatribe put out by this senator and his backers and since there are about three of them for every one of us who do you think is going to win !

The sad thing is that most of those who supported the bill no nothing about the out doors and have followed suite or party lines to the end. Boy that is government at it's best don't you think?

Have one question for YOU or anyone else out there !

Do you think the bill would have passed if everyone of the no nothings understand that when the bears become over populated and need to be thined out the state will hire government hunters who will use hounds of course and they will go into an area and kill every bear they find. Male, female, cubs every bear they find and report back the number they kill to government so they can be paid with tax payers dollars ! And the killed bears will be taken to some land fill and dumped in an attempt to hide the results of what they have been doing. Of course no one will point out that the young and females are being killed just that the bear population is now being controlled and those blood thursty hound hunters are no longer out their hurting their bears !

So does it make me mad ? Yes it makes me mad as hell and I have no one to blame but myself and others like me who did not see this coming and stand up for my rights. So all you bird hunters, beagle hunters or any one else that uses a dog in any part of their hunting start forming a group now to stop the HSUS now. This warning goes out to all of you fellow sportsmen in other states that are hunting to start forming groups now... it happened here and it will happen where you live as the HSUS's final goal is the stopping of all hunting in the USA
