I'd rather not be the one to put this idea in everyone's head but it seems logical considering how this last year has gone. So here goes, I doubt the Dfg will impliment this hound tag system. It seem more logical to me that the legislators will be presenting another bill this upcoming year using the same template as the bear and bobcat bill to ban the use of dogs for all mammal hunting. Why wouldn't they? HSUS has said in the past that they will do this piece by piece. They have a roadmap that has worked very easily for bear and bobcat. Why not simply replace "bear and bobcat" to "all mammals" and shove the same bill through again?? In fact it would be much easier this time as there is only a fraction of houndsman left from the last bill.

I want to beleive they have a plan but what i have heard they are kinda keeping it top secret until after the first of the year when the law actually comes into effect. I don't believe they threw in the towel but i am just as lost as anyone on the whole thing. I have no idea what is going on. I guess i am just hoping they have a good poker hand and they are not going to show before the time comes that they have to. I do wish i knew more though.

Tommorrow there is a Fish and Game Commission meeting in L.A. Last one. Next year they will be Fish and "Wildlife" Commission meetings. Anyways I digress. On the agenda is Public Comment for Big Game Regulations in 2013. I am asking for legal baiting. In states with bear seasons it is usually dogs or bait. We got no dogs gimme some bait. I am sure that this will spur some discourse on the current situation. So email the commission tomorrow asking for baiting to be legal for the 2013 season. I think the commission is meeting in Feb in Sacramento. I won't miss this one. I hope that 1221 violates CEQA and will be overturned but more knowledgeable sources on the board said I am incorrect. here is one for you to think about pete. When they get that wolf listed as an endangered species in california it is only going to be a matter of time before everything is going to come to a screetching halt in the CA. Every timber sale will be evaluated if it will have an impact on the wolf. every food source for the wolf Deer, Elk, and whatever else that bastard dog wants to eat will be protected from hunting as to not impact the wolf's food source. That way an animal that was once native to the state can make a comeback and be where it belongs.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR A BUNCH OF TREE HUGGERS TO BE EATEN BY BEARS AND WOLFS IN THE NEAR FUTURE. HOPEFULLY THERE ARE NO HOUNDSMEN TO HELP OUT UNTIL EVERYONE GETS ALL OF THERE HUNTING RIGHTS BACK.

I agree we should reintroduce grizzlies in the original habitat they were found! Sacramento. Specifically the governors office.

If you fly the state flag of California at your home or workplace I suggest you fly it upside down. California is in need of some serious help and the irony of flying the "Bear" flag signaling distress is priceless. -Pete

yep we will know are enemies soon in a bad economy or soon to be a full blown depression or worse yet a dictatorship. You will learn to feed your family by any means necessary that will mean the use of dogs when ammo is hard to come by just read up on the last depression we went through. I will take it one step farther the anti hunting demarcates have a super majority in CA that means that it will be nothing to get no public hunting passed or no fur bears with dogs passed or varmints there will be no obstacles like sb 1221 had. We as voters must learn what they are using against us and turn the tables or we will wake up one day as couch potatoes or outlaws. Not trying to be a downer just my too cents. I do believe in what Jim said he has seen the changes in the last 40 years or more and its down right depressing if you don't think so just do what you did as a kid walk to your favorite hunting spot with your dog and gun see how fare you make it before you get pulled over or handcuffed THANKS FOR YOUR TIME
