That's ridiculous and their so fake and hypocritical that it's okay to kill mice and small rodents big game that's not able to be controlled non lethally? Not that I am supporting them but who are they to say one animals life is more valuable then another's? You know what I mean? They have heart lungs eyes skin like all the other ones. Its not even about the animals its just about taking our rights away. That's why government workers will still trap and hunt worry free. Good luck up there!

I herd that there was some dogs caught in some traps that where off walking trails. The people setting thoses traps need to get a little more off the beatin path. They are giveing trappers a bad name. But to punish all trappers because of a few is messed up I gess come 2014 we all need to do are part and stop this from happening.

This isn't a trapper only issue. We lose our rights to trade our pelts with this ban, it would not surprise me to see a stop to pursuit with it either!

another problem is that most people who are on our side of the issue dont vote. they might be a bunch of tree huggin pussys but they vote on wat they think. thats why they keep winning!

Provisions are going to be written right in the law to protect Odfw and Usda to carry on where the need to trap and control animals is necessary....

Like our bear and cougar laws....This will be a transfer from private sport hunting/trapping to the State and Federal Government.

Time for sport hunters to wake up!

Oregon has Government hounds that replaced sport hounds for cougar management.

This one is B.S! The mechanically fired ankle catch snare set over rank bait replaced select harvest with hounds for black bears where management is deemed necessary.

All you supporters of Odfw on this site explain how there will be any incentive to fight to retain trapping when Odfw will have options and the ability to extract dollars from Salem on the backs of sport hunters and tax paying citizens?....Simply put,I bet the farm they don't give a damn how this plays out.......They will retian there jobs.

Can you all see now why we aren't hunting bear and cougar with hounds? Odfw doesn't want you hunting when they have hounds, snares and your dollars.
