First run of the year in michigan

for us in MI Dec first is normaly the first run of the yr i had a good race with my 2 1/2 yr old bloodhound and my yr old blue dog the pup dropped the race after a couple miles but was in it for a while and the big dog wasnt far from the yote the whole race just couldnt catch it only 3 inch of snow and now with the rain its gone. How about the rest of you any good like to hear the stories

I didn't get out Saturday cause my son had a basketball game now I'm kicking myself for not going the rain wiped out all our snow. Oh well sounds like we're supposed to get some later in the week. Good to hear someone got out and I'm sure there's some guys who run without snow but I've never had good results doing that.

yeah lets hope so i got up this morning and headed for the yota before i relized we lost all our snow!!!! And i know some guys down state run dogs on dry ground but i run one of my dogs on coon and the others on bear, i use the snow as the break line between the two seasons and i havent had any isues drygronding a yote in a bear race we did have one this coon season but have no real clue what happened just that it sure seemed like a coyote race lol. do youo run around charlevoix?

Yeah I run coyotes around here I use the same dogs on bear so I do the same thing as you and wait on the snow I do run cats occasionally and really like to but don't have a very good population of them around here there is no shortage of coyotes though.

We usually have good success with or without snow so we have been going out already, however snow is better obviously
