Kamphouse Plotts
Does anyne know the guy named Kamphouse that started the line of Plotts with the same name?
I have been told that this line of dogs was started by an older gentleman that lives here in Whatcom County, but when I was told that story I can't remember the first name of the guy.
The reason I ask is I was reading the newspaper yesterday and found in the Obituaries an old guy named Kamphouse, and I know it is not that common of a name here and the age would have been about right. This gentlemans name was Clarence "Dewey" Kamphouse. I just thought that someone who runs this line of Plott dogs may now the story.

oh good . . . .
I am so glad. For the life of me I couldn't remember for sure. I thought the first name started with a "D" and when I saw Dewey I got a little worried.

I have 1/2 Kamphouse blood outa pearl. She is a full kamphouse outa Rock witch is a son to Skittles. I crossed pearl w/ a star mtn. plott wich was from dan murphys stock (the old original star mtn. blood) That litter turned out excellent. Cold nosed fast gritty and hard treein bear cat and coon dogs. I recently bred my Rusty dog to Pearl he is half blackwater and half pocahontas the pups are three months old and baying and treeing caged coon.
There are full Kamphouse dogs in NC and NV as well.

This is an old thread but I am picking up 2 pups...full Kamphouse bred from Dons nephew...he runs bear and coyote with them...I just hope he has the same plott breeding skills and the eye for a good dog as Don had...he has the same philosophy as I do so I think I will be happy with these pups...
