I done a search and couldn't find my exact problem so I will ask it now.
I was actually looking at the 220 when the dog shook in the box and the collar lost signal. The next day the collar came up and comm's came back up so I turned him loose but, lost it at 300 yrds. I assumed that it broke the antenna so I picked up a replacement and while I was at it updated the collar. I checked it with my 220 and with it setting beside the 220 I was lacking 1 bar on the comm's. Next I walked to the barn 100 yrds away and it went to the 2 red bars. I laid down the 220 and the bars came back but, still lacked the final bar to make it full strength. I then took the 4 wheeler to the other barn 500 yrds away and across a small hill and I lost comm's as soon as I went over the hill and never got it back until I walked up on the porch and almost touched the 220 and 30 to each other. I switched to another brand new long range antenna and I still encounted the exact same results? Any ideas?
BTW.. GPS is showing full strength and the lights are flashing 3 times....

Re: DC 30 comm's lost
First change your ID a few times since it is the easiest method.
Next also do a master reset. Hold map + enter then power on. Follow on screen instructions.
Lastly- Clear the cache of the board by disconnecting your battery for at least 10 minutes.
After that, it may have shorted and will need to be repaired.
