CAUGHT A SMALL ONE THIS MORNING

I trailed a cat last week and lost it after .86 of a mile, i went back this morning and cut another track about 40 yards from where i started last week,trailed for about 300 yards or so and never opened up then i noticed another road farther up the mounatin so i load up and drive to the top and its windy as hell, my Redtick from Jeff Allen riggs from the truck, i let him go and he makes about a 160 yard circle and lines out opened up, i throw out a walker and a border collie and they are off. about 750 yards later they are showing treed https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos- ... 0473_n.jpg

he is black and white and barks alot, he just goes for the extra push, he is not a hunting dog but he thinks he is and he does not need a shocker because he handles like my hounds should

sweet i got stuck on a stupid 4-10hr days schedule so i dont get as many days off so i am off fri-sunday every week. the snow is deep in the higher elevations, my ford ranger would be useless without a locker

i caught a different lion this morning off the same kill, it was a juvenile, i went back to the kill and there were three sets of tracks, two small one big so we must have run a mom and cubs off a kill and caught one of them, we let it go right away

caught two more juveniles this morning that i released, going to go hunt in another unit and let these get bigger

Thanks Mike it took me a year to catch a lion on my own but i learned alot about my dogs and what i will be looking for in the two hounds i have reserved in Arizona.
