Trapped Wolf #2

Post by Rico »

I don't post on here much, but read lots and enjoy the site. Yes I guess that I am blowing my horn but I figured that if anyone would enjoy a picture of a trapped wolf it would be a hounddawger. I have been lucky enough to have trapped two this season the first one was a female that weight 74lbs and then this big male that weight 108lbs. Thanks for looking and yes I will keep after them.

Good job Jason...looks well haired.
Looks like your using an MB 750...?
You got a good catch on him above the pad which is what your looking for to hold a big wolf, Did you get him on a pee post set?

Keep it up...

Brent, Yes I am using 750's. Was wanting to try some of the other wolf traps but didn't really want to spend that kind of money. So far I have been really happy with the 750.

It was a pee post that I caught him on. A couple days before I caught him he worked the set stepped on the jaw, over the pan, scratched, pissed on the back side of the bush.....talk about dishearting. Next time he worked it looks like he put full weight on that pan before she fired nice and high.

Nice job!! I notice something white on its neck area... is that just a snow ball or was it collared?
