Injectable Penicillian under the skin (not muscle) at 1cc/mL per 10-15 lbs of body weight. I do that every other day for about 3 times/days.

KV Supply Phone 1-800- 423-8211 has a large inventory of antibotics & many other products needed for pets & horses. Have found them to be more reasonable priced that some. Al

Just a thought but amoxicillin is so commonly used that some infections may be immune to it. idk...Also I think mox is about lowest strength antibiotic we use..I'm no expert, just some thoughts.

I/m sure no expert either, once had a dog on Cephalexin for a mass that vet removed from his side. At the end of 10 days I removed the stitches and the incesion had not healed. That incesion must have been eight inches long. I paniced, call vet who performed the sugery, on vacation. Took the dog to another vet, ask if he would clean and sew up the incesion. H e calmly informed me he would if I insisted, but if it was his dog he would change the antibotic to amoxcillin and let the incesion heal from the inside out. Also instructed me to use a from of cephalexin in a tube a couple times a day on the infected area. And keep the dog in as clean enviorment as possible. Took his advice, took about a month but the dog got well. That oniment was what he used when a cow had milk fever and he had to split thier bag. Onitment was cheap and became a antibotic in a tube that I kept on hand. Have been told cephalexin is a wider range antibotic and can tell you it has worked great for numerous skin problems for my dogs. Hope this helps someone Al
