Ozark black and tans ?

Post by alockridge »

Has anyone ever used Ozark black and tans on big game? If so how did they do?

The hound that you have that is related to Big Game Thunder goes back to Ozark lines. I think a lot of biggame hunters forget all our dogs came from coon hunting stock. A lot of top reproducing hounds have come from the Ozark lines.

What specific hounds out of the Ozark line are you wondering about?

You have Fox River Mandy in your hounds pedigree she is heavy Ozark Bred. Bo and Shep fall back to Gentleman Jim. Great foundation dogs in the B&T breed. Duncan's line of hounds is heavy Gentlemen Jim influenced at great biggame dogs.

Thanks my friend really likes how my male pup out of my last cross is doing and if he keep going the way he is he want to maybe cross his female with him. But he is still young so only time will tell. Thanks Treedog/Boone for the input.
