RUN THE PADS OFF THIS LION

LOL relax!!! not really . Treed this tom yesterday , was wondering what every ones thought was , what this was from . One pad was almost gone , heel pad look to be sloughing the skin. MY thought was frost bite ,it was only on foot?

My guess is he was on a long walk about...

I caught a bobcat that was very skinny with feet like that. It was a big one in frame but only weighed 20lbs, it had killed and eaten 2 band-tailed pigeons so was very capable of finding food.

If it was only one foot then I would say trapped or snared maybe?

I killed an old Tom like that last year feet looked the same. I think it's a combination of old age and crusted snow that does that to there feet.
