those of you that get american hunter magazine got this in febuary...
utah's cat hunt made it # 10 of 10.... the artical says,
"Done on fair terms, a mountain lion hunt with hounds can be as physically demanding as hunting gets. Add 3-6 feet of snow and Utah's rugged, ice covered rock faces and you can find yourself on a chase that would pucker the most experienced rock climbers.
once you cut a track the real fun begins. the dogs are released, and before you can load your gun they are out of sight, bobbing up the boulder and pine studded mountainside like snow seals. Your only goal is to keep close to them as possible. Several times I had to throw a dog up a rock face, then toss my rifle up after it, remove my snowshoes, then climb up, only to repeat the procedure again and again. the cat might tree after a mile, or after 20. You can't quit, because after you release the dogs on a track, you are no longer in control of the hunt"

What?! that's just crazy. Ask any anti hunter and they'll tell you. Just turn the dogs loose and turn on your GPS and walk over to the tree to kill the poor trapped cat at your leisure. :lol:

It's so easy according to the anti hunting bottom dwellers.

I agree with American Hunter! It's a demanding hunt and you never know if you're going to lay eyes on a cat!

Is IKE writing 4 American Hunter again. I've told him a hundred times to come hunting with me and he'll see some game for peats sake.

Back in the 1950-60 befor wildlife tracken eqpt lion hunters was noted for leash walken-trailen their dos many days on same cat and stopen of night & camped then by mornen on once again/ because of the hunten country/ no rds, all lee-hi , or all tall mtns./creggy rock pressifices an so forth. Sucess was deturmended by the boot strappen hunter who doged rhem long tails back then. They knowd more about dogs and about tracken lion than all of us today combined know I would say and might be tellen it honestly as I put it ?
They were the kings and they was the real long hunters, not weekend warriers on wheels and a gps and thats something ya maybe cant yet fathum. Go get a book like Ben Lilly oreven by Dale Lee/ though his brother Clitus was the rea dog man of the 2/ Dale just was a good story repeater, his brother was the better of the 2 famiouse hunters. and their might be a book out not sure on Charlley Tant ? They wasentthe onlyest Kings there was many cause then ya was a hunters hunter if you was successfull in them tuff areas too hunt in.jack

I have a litter of pups that came from IKE's dog and Trackers dog, so I will be rigging T-Rex tracks here in 2-3 months, so I am going to have to pass for now, thanks though.

Now IKE, why would you call your top "RIG" dog a dildo. HOUNDDOGGIN, good luck with you B&T, if I were you I would say to heck with that and by a crossed up, big game dog that will perform, not that the B&T won't, you will have much better luck with a cross. You and IKE have fun out doggin', but watch your back, I have heard what he is all about.

I don't know ike thus have never hunted with him... I couldn't tell you how his dogs are.... and I know my dogs will never compare with yours.... (All the time you have to work with them they should be the best in the state).... and where are these pics??
