This internet is an amazing thing. When I joined this site I was a nobody with an old washed up bobcat dog.

Now, I drive a custom built lamborgini to hunt my hounds out of. I'm married to a supermodel and am a part time ufc fighter. I am a handsom devil with a fine pack of westcoast cat dogs, whose name has even been in the same paragraph as the famous Al Baldwin. Not to mention, I just learned I may own 20% of those fine Clay hounds. Life is looking good.

Their are a few downers though, like putting up motion lights and trail cams to keep the dog thieves away, because lets face it. The only way anyone is going to get 1 of these dogs is to steal it. Well I better get off of here, I really need to get some beauty sleep.....Did I mention I was a handsom devil. John.

John
Enjoy it while it lasts because this time next month there will be a new found legend with dogs twice as good as any before on here. Its sad how fast a guy and his dogs become has beens on the internet, but its like an old time famous cat hunter once told me. Its better to be a has been than a never was.

JC, not sure if i could do the lamberguiny thing if i come down but if you have room i will jump in and run a coyote or 2 with ya. We can always hang out with John and Al when we get back to town and listen to their cat race stories. Maybe even drink a road soda or 13 :D :D :D :D

You guys better all give me some hell for what I wrote above, I mean, I put myself in the cross hairs then loaded the gun for ya all. I better feel crusified after I check back in this evening.

Mark, you see its ok if J.C. hunts my honey holes. My Sonny dog cant catch those cats and J.C,'s dogs cant catch sonny. You can see there isnt much for me to worry about. John

so your sayin i dont have to ask to hunt your spot, sweet . dont worry i cant catch those cats up there anyways. Im not going to argue with ya about my slow pot lickers keeping up with sonny because i think that would be a stretch at best. Maybe when i have a lambergeni i can get the dog and super modle to go with it. as far as me being a hansome devil , i dont think there is a chance in hell of that happening . well maybe if the lights were off.

Well so much for trying to liven up the site, We did manage to make ourselves look like a couple 1st class idiots. Apologize to Al Baldwin and the Clay's for involving them, that was very un-cool. Pup's, I'll put my shock collar back on.

Proper communication on this computer is still a tricky thing for me, A guy can have a couple beers get to feeling frisky and post something that seems alright for everyone to read, Then wake the next morning pay some bills or something that puts a fella in a fowl mood, re-read your great post from the nite before and think HOLY SH!T what the hell was I thinking?

J.C. and I are like brothers, I look up to him like an older brother and I hope he feels the same. Truth be told I asked him to hunt the ranch, because there is a cat up there I cant catch. He is the only guy with a dog box in his truck that can freely come and go as he pleases. Two of us can also hunt yellow cr., He knows the rules up there. Slip in and slip out. Drive slow past Monte's house, keep an eye out for Beverly's house cat. She loves that cat. Remember Moe's have kids that shouldnt be kept up all nite listening to hounds and pick-ups roaring around. Simple stuff you already know.

Sonny, well sonny is just a pup and has his moments. Those tracks he has shined on may not have even been started if your dogs hadent started them. Infact I thumbed through my notes and realised almost half the cats I seen tree'd this winter were when we hunted together. Better than that I am almost certain every cat we started tree'd, a 100% catch rate. And about half of those were dogged cats :o . So I may also owe Dewey Walton an appology because I didnt think that could be done here. :) . Anyway hard work and working together is paying off. If Sonny's the one, we will breed him and raise the pups just like before. Time to see if we can duplicate it.

I didnt write this to bragg, I wanted to apologize to the mentoned above. In an attempt to save some face. I dont think this is a barroom and try to help fellow houndsmen. Our young dogs were born and raised on this site for everyone to see, mistakes and all. I hope it gives some an idea about the process and the amount of dedication it takes, even when things go good its one hell of a process.

Like I have said before, I dont want to take anything away from other houndsmen. I know their are better lines and houndsmen out their and they have my respect. I am focused on keeping and bettering our line. Like someone said awile back, there's nothing wrong with being proud of what you've got. I find the history of our dogs very interesting, and wish more houndsmen would spend more time discussing where their dogs came from. Thank you for reading. John.

John,

Absolutely NO apology is needed!

I think I speak for all of the members and readers of the Bobcat Section, that we enjoyed the repartee and Humor from you and JC.

We are always reading of the many ways to Catch a Bobcat in his many varied environs, so much so that this Site sometimes becomes too much like SCHOOL.

This thread was like a GOOD Recess session!

I know from Houndsmen who we both respect immensely that BOTH You, JC and yalls Hounds are the real Deal. With Mr. Brad(JC's Dad) and Mr. Al looking over your shoulders you all and the Hounds will only get better!

Isn't it wonderful to watch the Hounds that you have spent sleepless nights planning the mating's who brought them about, grow and develop into the Kind of Hounds that you could only hope that they would be just a few short months ago. It is almost as good as watching your Children grow and develop.

You and JC keep after them and then get on here and tell us about it....sometimes if a little Liquid Courage is necessary to face the Keyboard, well....that ain't so bad.

C. John,

I am glad that you spoke up. I was sitting back just wondering what anybody could possibly be upset over. But thought better to keep my big mouth shut until I reread it a couple times and waited for somebody else to say something. And no matter how many times I reread it. I didn't find anything offensive.

John,

Although some things do come out wrong. When typewritten, I certainly didn't see anything out of line with anything that was written here. Everything that I read I thought was completely said jokingly. And I know that I, like CJ, enjoy reading all the stuff that you and JC wright. But as you all know, I'm not rowing with both oars in the water, either.

Take care, Willie

Well, i still want to come down and see the dogs hunt, even if there isnt going to be a feud or any coyotes to run. However i do want to watch the two of you roll around in the yard a little. I also would like to get the chance to talk with Mr Baldwin and get a story or two out of him. :D :

I dont think any apologies were due here, although i may owe you guys one when i put a dog down with yours. Trashy Trashy and they dont have much of a handle on them. Its usually a real circus around the dogs and me. Anyhow thanks for the posts you two put on here!

As stated before I didn't see any reason for an apologie I definitely enjoyed the humor that you and jc brought to the site it was a post I looked forward to reading when I got on the site seems hound hunters some times get a little to serious and was nice to see every one loosen up a bit. I did get a good chuckle when I pictured a Lamborghini stuffed full of them fine hounds and sure wouldn't hurt my feelings a bit if I got to read more posts like this one. Maybe one of these days I will get the chance to see some of them fine hounds you guys are breeding and maybe get to listen to a few good stories from Mr. Al Baldwin keep up the good work guys :beer

Well i didnt want to bring this up , but back in the 3rd grade jon and i did get in a fight . we have been friends every since . I cant remember a cross word or any kind of arguement in the last 20 plus years. He does smell a little bit but i guess everyone cant be a perfect as yours truly. 8) I would never go into someone elses spot and kill there cats. I know how that made me feel last year and i would never do it. That being said , i cant keep the dogs from catching them on the ground. Oh yeah i forgot my dogs cant catch them on the ground. :D
Hunted a new spot today and found some good looking stuff. Maybe if u let me barrow that super model for a little bit u can come with me .
DONT TELL HER I SAID THAT.

JC and John,

You know, I usually try not to put my nose and another man's business. And I know on a public forum. It probably isn't the proper way of handling it, but I wanted to give you guys heads up. A lot guys probably don't know, but I have spent a lot of time talking with Mark. And I believe after running hounds for 50 years, the conclusion that I have come to. Is I would definitely not let him turn his dogs loose with mine. After many conversations on the phone, it had become more than evident. That, that is just a train wreck waiting to happen.

And if no one has enough respect of my opinion. I have also spoken to a gentleman that has spent his fair share time around, Mr. Mark. And he let me know under no uncertain terms would he recommend me flying up into Oregon. And participating in the rodeos that he has witnessed  . So even if you guys don't have any respect for my opinion. I have tried to warn you, and I've promised the gentleman I would not mention his name on the form.

Wow! I guess it's too late. Someone told me that he has the truck pointed in your direction and is on his way. Hopefully it's not too late, you can turn all the lights out at the house and make believe no one's home. Hopefully you don't get shanghaied, if you do, just turn your trashy stuff loose with his and it will all be good. Good luck. I gota run.

Take care, Willie
