New Nance male in my kennel

Post by twist »

My hunting partner and I have just recently purchased Jeff Allens male Nance dog (Morosoks Topper Again) this will be a great addition to my Nance dogs. He is one of the most Nance bred dogs around the country and has proven himself as a reproducer of biggame dogs. I have been looking for a Nance dog of his calibur to cross back on my females for alot years. As soon as I get his papers squared around I will be advertising him to the biggame houndsmen world for stud. thanks, Andy

Thanks for the pm there Andy and I sure will do that for ya. By the way, are ya doing a DNA and Profileing it ? I`d sure like too see the profile coderead-out on that dog !?It might not tell a man ifa pitucular dog is a top hunting hound butthe run profile on that dog or gyp sure tell a breeder how much doublening-up of a reproducer the houd should have in his or her make-up/ nuff said !

CONGRATULATIONS TWIST!

Topper is a wonderful hound, and you are a lucky man to own him. He is a great lion and bear dogs, and super off the rig as well. He is blazing fast and super cold nosed. He can fly out on a track at scarey speed. Even though he is a good big dog he can fly thru the country. He is also a reproducer. I have two males here out of him that won't be two until the end of July. If you think they can't run a track , locate and tree just come and watch them. They did it again this morning in style. Huge bawl mouthes on track and hammer that tree, plenty of grit as well.

Fellows in your neighborhood need to take advantage of this dog as a breeder. Very very few dogs carry as much Little Topper blood in them and have the ability to pass on these desireable traits.

I know you will treat the gentelmen hound with the care and respect he deserves, he is one cool professional.

Drop me a line now and then and let me know how he is doing. I have another female out of him that is just 5 months old now and WOW! Trailing treeing, getting ahold and locating off the wind!

Have fun!

Thanks, Mike he will be cared for very well here. I have been looking for a dog of his calibur for alot of years to put into my breeding plan and feel very blessed to have gotten him. I will promote him very well as he is a huge asset to the biggame houndsmen world. Glad to hear your young dogs out of him are making outstanding hounds, as have many others that he has produced. thanks, Andy

Wow you got Topper, Wish I could have had the money to buy him. I have a male dog and a female out of him, both are excellent dogs. The male is by far the best male I have ever owned, I can't see any weekness's in him. I just bread him to my best female who is a littermate to Jeff's good Cindy dog, the pups should be real smokers if she caught. I'm going down to Jeff's to hunt with him this week, guess I'll have to give him some guff!

Andy, I know a guy East of you that has a super nice walker male out of Marosok's stuff that has a lot of nance blood if I remember right. He is one of the best dogs I've been to the woods with. The guy never cat hunted him until he was a couple years old but he took to it like a duck to water. I know he's caught more than one bobcat on the ground. I don't know for sure if the dog is still alive but I think he is.

Cold Track,

You tell old Jeff when you get there that if he needs any help there is an old guy with bagged out wrinkled wranglers and no count dogs that might lend him a hand some day. LOL!

Topper Again

Post by twist »

Shoonie, that is the stories I like to hear. Topper needs to be available to the public, the Topper strain needs to stay alive for the biggame world. I have had the same success with the Topper strain EXCELLENT bobcat hounds.

Bobcat hunters if you have a top female cat dog and have wondered what to breed her to in hopes of getting some cat minded pups, Topper is a good thought. Now if you have a similar bred female you should really not waste time thinking about breeding to this dog. I have no part of him and nothing to gain but you do if you bobcat hunt. This dog is a reproducer and he puts nose, speed, drive, and locate with tree power on cat dogs. I have seen a lot of walkers that showed all of that on coon or maybe even bear or lion but when it boils down to those bobcats there are not near as many that shine on them. Topper Again and his pups that are bred right do. Breed him to Washburn ( Excellent), breed him to Nailor ( Also doing super, breed him to Finley River, Clover, Rock River, House , Rock, Banjo, White Cloud, and odds are you will be happy. Breed him to that line bred Nance female and continue the line from there.
I have been amazed by hunters who have come out of the woodwork that I never knew that were basically backwoods bobcat and some lion hunters who have had a lot of expereince with the Topper dogs and were very happy to see the blood still around.

This dog and another SUPER Topper bred dog called Samson from Utah have amazed me with their ability to reproduce powerhouse CATDOGS!

Topper Again

schoonie( Larry), great to talk to you the other nite glad your pups is working out. The trials we use to go to were a blast back in the day and good to talk to someone that remembers all the old timers. Like you were saying the Topper line of dogs sure are top notch bobcat hounds and to come from someone that is not color blind in dogs is pretty impressive. Keep in touch, Andy
