Ya take I-5 south from Corning Ca. too the Delevan Wild Life Refuage area in the rice fields areas and by I-5 south turn off also on the
colussia rd and go too Colussia Ca. on the upper Sacramento River and hunt out of a 14-16 ft boat with 5 hp moter and let the dogs run the banks along the riverand thers plenty of jungle grape & blackberry vine jungles and tree lines/ boy the coon get 30 lbers some time and sometimes bigger than that.
Its far better too pull a aluminum boat with small engine and hunt out of it/ like the cycamore slue area aslo. Ya drive maybe an hr from redding down through red bluff and dowtoo corning and then hunt too the north side of I-5 and the rds are marked and few so ya can see for 20-30 miles at night there. Some darnd good fishen and froggen too along all that strech and when the fish run is on the bear comed down along theslue and into the by pass and feed on the salmon !
Hardwood bears are harder too tree up than a pine or furr tree bear.
