Black Bear How Many Color Phases Do You Guys Catch?

I Gotta question, it seems that most of the bear I've seen or heard of close friends catching in Utah are some sort of color phase, Cinnamon, Chocolate or Brown. So is a Black Phased Black Bear rare in Utah or what?

Of the 2011 bear i caught this year 336 were black, so yes I would say they are rare besides, I caught every bear in UTAH last year and hey I did it in only two months.
I beleive the pink phase and the purple phase bears are the rarest in these parts. in recent studies of hair samples it is beleived they are becoming more and more common. I have only caught a handful of these color phases myself.

In central ca. sa yosemmittee acrost too lake pillsberry on the other mtn range accrost the valley from the soerras ; bear colors a native cinnimon,black,brown, peach.,grayiskbrown,. thats what i have seen an don Poore and Bill Nail.who knows all their color phases/ i know tis tough=watch out for them with yellow paint splashed on their knogges! means the park service or usforestry servic branded em as outlaws and they was moved out of from around people. Once a bear looses his fear ofman he gets salty and that means he is a load an probably might be a dog killer too.
