Cage trap
Cage trap
Building a few cage traps and trying to figure out what the channel is on the guillotine door frame. Local metal place has 1" channel iron but that a little overkill. Local hardware stores have nothing except aluminum. Any ideas ?

Cage trap
I use washers on door and steel rod on trap.
Re: Cage trap
Some use 1/2" square tubing with one side cut out or you might try window frame. A glass shop can order it in different sizes and its a whole lot easier.

Re: Cage trap
I'm not a big fan of the guillotine style door. To much chance of binding in cold weather.
I like the swing type door with two types of lock (washer and spring lock together)
I feel the swing type door lends itself to a better trigger also.
Just my opinion, RS
