I said bigfoot but in all honesty i think in my area it is the 75lb bear that wont climb and run every dog you got into the ground.

I didn't see the elusive black panther that lives in the eastern united states on the list. That would have gotten my vote had it been an option. I have been trying to catch one for 18 years and have only caught the yellow ones. Maybe someday I'll have to actually go to the eastern united states and turn a dog loose. What would I do with one if I caught it? Let it go and take no pictures of course. Then tell anyone about it. haha

Bear killer . Look ill let anyone call me crazy on here , but if you have gas money to North Carolina ill put you on a black cat ! I've seen 3 this year and live beside one . Our bear huntin group treed one but in a cave . I live near the Tennessee line and during the rut for deer you can stand out on the rock cliffs or at the lake and hear them scream like girls . As a matter of fact my neighbor ran one over beside my house . Pm and ill tel you all you want about them . If you have cat dogs I have the cats . " white side kennel " on here can tell you about them too look him up .

treetalking u don't know what a mountain is . we call those little things back there pitching mounds. I never voted . I think all animals can be very tough to catch in different areas , and easy to catch in other areas.

i voted for Bobcat. Lynx was not on the list and i have never hunted my dogs on grey fox or i may have voted for one of them. Some bears can be harder to catch but i think a dog that can consistantly catch a bobcat from strt to finish is harder to find. like i said before, i have never huntd any dogs on a lynx but i can imagine it's a bit tougher.

Why would someone drive 30+ hours to go chase something that has never been photographed? By the way, your ignorance is astounding.

No sir , who said no one has pictures ? I know people that does and ill be glad to show them when I talk to them . But I think it's the fact that we have a chance to run them and seldom get on one from bear season to bear season , and we have a opportunity that you never will . If they wasn't really I would not stir up this for fun. They are becoming more common up here and even taking house pets . Call me ignorant and crazy all you want but they are around are parts. But it's fine like I said not here to stir up anything , but it's not like your dogs could put enough heat on one anyways to tree it . We even have a few big yellow cats around.

blackpaws (or anyone else that runs coyotes and cats), I'm pretty sure you run coyotes too. What percentage of coyotes do you catch that are not shot in front of the hounds (not open sight chase country)? Do your hounds really catch more percentage of coyotes (that aren't gunned) then percentage of cats you turn loose on? I'm meaning on a non-catch snow.
I am not at all trying to be a smart ass, just seeing if this is the case.
I would love to see a hound that could consistently catch even %50 of the yotes it got on its feet (in non catch snow and non open country). Let alone two or three in a day. Not saying it isn't possible but I'd like to see it with my own eyes around here.
