worming pregnany gyp with three weeks left

My gyp has three weeks till she is due. I have heard that I should worm her once a week for the last three weeks to help cut down on the pups having/getting worms as easily.

My first question. Is this true and secondly, is it okay to use the safeguard paste that I normally worm my hounds with or is there some other kind of wormer I should use for this?

Don't do it. It is not worth the risk. We worm a female twice 10 days to 2 weeks apart before she is bred then worm the pups with Nemex starting at 3 weeks and then every week after until 8 weeks. It is very important to worm those pups early. The box says you can worm them as early as 2 weeks but we think that is a bit early.
