Cave Bear

Me and a friend put this bear in a hole early this spring ...... i got a few pics.

After about 45 min. in this part of the cave i got to the dogs and the bear got nervous and moved up a big crack and i got a little different look what was happening.

The four dogs got a little chewed up but they did real good....

how big was the bear it look like a good size bear thank englishhunter

It was an average bear 150 ish . it was good enough for the client we had.. he said it was the coolest thing he had ever seen, but he was a little spooked when i told him to clime in there and shoot it. this bear would of weight closer to 170 or so is she would have wintered a little better or it would of been in the fall, she had no fat at all on her, not even on her back or butt... one more week in the hole last winter and it would have starved to death for sure. I think we lost some bears this winter to starvation where we hunt because the numbers where a little down on bears, and the ones we killed didn't have much fat on them at all.
