November 2010 Hunt Video...

Post by Cowboyvon »

Since I've been having to stay at home I've been going through some video and doing some editing... Here is some older footage of a lion hunt in some real good lion country where we end up with a bear.... also shows me calling the hounds off of the tree

Enjoyed your video. Long time since I bear hunted, sure don/t recall bear here being that patience when treed. We were very quite going into a treed bear, more times than not when a bear knew human was near, they would slide down the tree like a highclimber and limbs were breaking fast. Quite a sight to see. I would guess not all the bear you tree are as cooperative as that one? Thanks Al

Thanks everyone...

Al,
I only catch the fat lazy ones....I guess to be honest I need to put up some video of me looking for my dogs for 3 days because they couldn't make one tree or keep them in the tree.

Looks like I will be moving back up to camp but I will try to get some more video edited and put up... I have some that's not so flattering

Brett good job with the dogs. Calling dogs of a tree is almost as satisfying as making the catch.

I really enjoyed that video MR Brett. Nice hounds and looks fun hunting off that mule.
I agree with Mr Al that a lot of the bears I've seen would not stand for that much conversation near the tree but they have a lot more trees to climb around here.
I like the way you use the '' Good Dogs'' '' Good Boys'' they will tolerate a lot more when you are working on them too when talked to like that.
Like the way you called them off the tree, but guess I haven't evolved to that point yet. Thanks.
