Icom ic-v85 handheld question. Edited with working pics

Just picked up 2 icom ic-v85 handheld radios and I'm having difficulty doing the mod to rx the entire band. I went to mods.tk.com and looked at the chart to remove d67 but my radios components don't look similar when I access the back panel. Any advice? Alternate solutions? I have a suspicion that these may not be real icom radios. possibly fakes, I got them new off ebay

Well after looking around at things and the manual and your pictures, it beats me. I am pretty sure the plug in your bottom picture is for a pager/tone squelch add-on, so the fact that yours is missing the plug but has the pinout on the circuit board for it makes me think that it might be a restickered lower tier model or a fake. There is a difference in a few components on that board. Icom might have just changed the v85s circuit board too. You might want to try and call Icom and see if there is any way they might be able to help you sort this out. Good luck, let us know how it works out.

HEY THESE ARE V 85 FROM CHINA AND THEY ARE NOT THE SAME AS THE OLD V85 . THESE RADIOS DOES NOT REQUIRE YOU TO REMOVE ANYTHING FOR MARINE BAND. THE DOWN FALL IS THEY WILL NOT CLONE FROM A OLD V85, AND IF YOU TRY TO NAME THE CHANNELS THEY WILL NOT TAKE ALL THE CARACHTERS. THEY WILL CLONE FROM CHINA TO CHINA MADE UNITS. YOU WILL HAVE TO PUT THE FIRST ONE IN MANUALLY
